Course Description*: A mastery gateway course that will allow students to act as independent film production companies from acquisition of a shooting script through to master delivery and a final premiere screening.
Learning Outcomes*: Students will create an independent, low-budget production, demonstrating an understanding of all phases required, from shooting script to finished film, meeting all required deadlines. Students will perform the technical roles of filmmaking to create a successful film. Students will participate in crowd funding to help finance their film. Students will master all elements for screening, distribution, and archiving. Students will perform the role of the EPK crew in creating marketing materials to promote a successful premiere. Students will research and create a post-premiere plan of marketing and publicity to promote themselves and their film to gain additional screenings beyond the workshop
Student Course Materials*: Students will need to acquire expendables and resources for short film project based upon selected script(s) for production in the course
