A mastery gateway course that will allow students to act as independent film production companies from acquisition of a "shooting script" through to master delivery and a final premiere screening.
Prerequisites* (courses and/or assessment or tests): This course is intended for individuals who have completed level 1 and level 2 Writing, Production, and/or Post-Production courses and have completed Workshop 1 and/or have satisfied the learning outcomes of all these courses by exam.
Learning Outcomes*: 1 Students will create an independent, low-budget production, demonstrating an understanding of all phases required, from shooting script to finished film, meeting all required deadlines. 2 Students will perform the technical roles of filmmaking to create a successful film. 3 Students will participate in crowd funding to help finance their film. 4 Students will master all elements for screening, distribution, and archiving. 5 Students will perform the role of the EPK crew in creating marketing materials to promote a successful premiere. 6 Students will research and create a post-premiere plan of marketing and publicity to promote themselves and their film to gain additional screenings beyond the workshop.
Student Course Materials*: Students will need to acquire expendables and resources for short film project based upon selected script(s) for production in the course
