Prerequisites* (courses and/or assessment or tests): This course is intended for individuals who have completed any level 1 Writing, Production, and/or Post-Production course and/or satisfied the learning outcomes of those classes by exam.
Course Description*: A foundation gateway course that covers the essential technical, craft, and storytelling skills required to successfully produce a short media project from concept through completion. Emphasis will also be placed on publicity and marketing so that students understand how to collect materials and build EPKs and other publicity and marketing materials to support promoting themselves and their films at the premiere screening. Lectures with practical hands on homework assignments will emphasize student retention of ideas and best practices with film production
Student Course Materials*: Students may need a 2TB external drive or larger for their assignment work
