Please note: this course will start one week later than originally scheduled.
Prerequisites* (courses and/or assessment or tests): This course is intended for individuals who may or may not have had some film experience beforehand, no film experience is required. As the goal of the program is to take beginning filmmakers from scratch all the way through the production process to a finished film with varying levels of difficulty, no prerequisites or assessments are required.
Course Description*: This foundational course covers the proper protocols-detailed workflow documentation and division of labor-needed for a successful post-production team. Students' use of PremierePro will cover the technical preparation of dailies; the fundamentals of picture editing based on story structure; the design, creation, and building of effective sound tracks; the selection and editing of music and composite sound mixing and sound mastering to industry-standard delivery requirements for independent media projects. Students will work within realistic but tight schedules to successfully finish post-production exercises by "drop-dead" delivery dates for all "master" delivery materials.
There are still openings remaining at this time.
