Target Audience: Individuals challenged with managing work and personal commitments in their daily lives will benefit from this course.
Prerequisites (courses and/or assessment or tests): One week prior to attending this course, participants must maintain a worklog (week long). Participants must bring the completed log to class.
Student Course Materials: Participant Guide provided by course instructor. Participant worklog provided to participants at least 2 weeks prior to the schedule course date.
Course Description: Time/Life Management is designed to assist you in becoming more efficient in dealing with the factors that impact you daily. Through the use of the Time Investment Quadrants, you will discover where you spend your time, and investigate techniques to move or eliminate those activities that are not adding value. You will learn the importance of both personal and professional goals and the impact of using a time management system to assist you.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
Define time management
Describe the control continuum
Recognize the impact of the control continuum on your daily events
Implement the tools to influence events within and outside your control
Teaching Methodology and Assessment: Methodology - Lecture, discussions, power point presentations, and real life experiences.
Criteria for Successful Completion: To receive a Clayton State University Continuing Education Certificate and CEUs, you must attend 100% of the class session, actively participate and complete a course evaluation.
