The hospitality industry is a big business. The security of hotels and motels play a large role in their overall success. Crime, safety, civil lawsuits and negligent security are constant areas of concern in this industry. This seminar will develop hotel managers and members of the security team on how to carry out the security duties in this job specific environment. Topics include guest protection, exercising reasonable care, crime prevention strategies, as well as emergency management. Attendees will learn verbal de-escalation techniques and strategies to diffuse irate individuals. Other topics include, nightclub and bar security within a hotel environment, patrol techniques, and incident response. This course is a must for operations managers, in-house security personnel, and security agencies that contract with the hospitality industry. This course qualifies for 6 hours continuing education credit ACEP guidelines for the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies.
